Friday Night Funkin' Shadow Engine

Shadow Engine is a highly modified Psych Engine 0.7.3 fork for Friday Night Funkin'. It features advanced modding capabilities, Lua/Luau and Haxe scripting support, improved performance, and additional features over the base Psych Engine.

This engine is ready to be modded and includes features like V-Slice, scripted states, and more.

WARNING: Some songs, states, and stages may use shaders or have too many sprites, which can cause FPS drops on Raspberry Pi. Shaders and Low Quality options can be toggled in the game settings, or just simply make window small :D

To install mods: place the mod folder or unzip the mod into ~/.ShadowEngine/mods/

To run: Menu -> Games -> Friday Night Funkin' Shadow Engine
To run in a terminal: ~/.ShadowEngine/ShadowEngine

Compatibility

For the best chance of this working, we recommend using the latest 64-bit version of Raspberry Pi OS, which is currently version Trixie.
Raspberry Pi OS has 32-bit and 64-bit variants, both of which will run on most Raspberry Pi computers, including the Pi 3, Pi 4, and Pi5.
Friday Night Funkin' Shadow Engine will run on either PiOS 32-bit or 64-bit.
