Install Minecraft Java Lunar on Nvidia Jetson

Minecraft Java Lunar

Lunar Client is an all-in-one modpack integrated Launcher available for ONLY popular versions of Minecraft.

Features of the launcher:

  • Microsoft, Mojang, and PC GamePass Account support
  • Automatic Java 8/17 installation
  • Supports a selected list of minecraft versions with with a highly modified client geared toward PVP

Features NOT in this launcher (but available in others):

  • Modloading support
  • Mod/Modpack installation and updating
  • Support for many versions of Minecraft

This installs a fork of Lunar Client with patched dependencies for ARMhf/ARM64 support.

To run: Menu -> Games -> Lunar Client
To run in a terminal: ~/.local/bin/lunarclient.AppImage --no-sandbox

NOTE: For best performance, we recommend an older version of Minecraft like 1.12.2 or 1.8

Fortunately, Minecraft Java Lunar is very easy to install on your Nvidia Jetson in just two steps.

  1. Install Pi-Apps - the best app installer for Nvidia Jetson.
  2. Use Pi-Apps to install Minecraft Java Lunar.


For the best chance of this working, we recommend using the latest version of Nvidia Jetpack for your specific Jetson (Jetson TX1, Jetson Nano, Jetson TX2, Jetson Xavier, or Jetson Orin).
Minecraft Java Lunar will run on L4T Ubuntu ARM64.

Install Pi-Apps

Pi-Apps is a free tool that makes it incredibly easy to install the most useful programs on your Nvidia Jetson with just a few clicks.

Open a terminal and run this command to install Pi-Apps:

wget -qO- | bash

Install Minecraft Java Lunar

Now that you have Pi-Apps installed, it is time to install Minecraft Java Lunar.
First launch Pi-Apps from your start menu:

Then click on the Games category.

Now scroll down to find Minecraft Java Lunar in the list.

Just click Install and Pi-Apps will install Minecraft Java Lunar for you!
